My previous collie was like that with me. I do not like plain potatoes. I like potatoes that don’t taste like potatoes (like mashed potatoes drenched in a yummy gravy or French fries, but not the thick cut kind, lol) and my dog, I noticed, was the same way. I also hate peas and so did he. His ability to pick around any peas was almost as incredible as mine. It’s funny, isn’t it?
