This week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme is labor. All week long there has been a lot of labor and noise going on as workers tear up the road in front of our office building. Normally Sadie is very good about ignoring noises around work, but the noise from this labor has been so loud it makes the entire building shake. It’s been nearly impossible for a certain little Yorkipoo to get her afternoon beauty sleep. So once work was over on that first day, I took Sadie out to find the source of all the noise. Parked in front of our building were a number of construction machines that had been helping the workers with their labor all day. Sadie was very brave and went right up to these giant machines, sniffing and even exploring them, once I made sure the equipment was safe.

Those machines always smell good with all the dirt and things…they have been in interesting places!

Wow, Sadie IS brave! I couldn’t get Sophie near one of those things. She’s a scaredy cat. Jasper, on the other hand, would just jump right up, like Sadie. Looks like those big machines did make quite a racket. Hope Sadie can get back to her afternoon beauty naps soon!

Whoa! That’s one brave woofie. I was brave today and didn’t move when the vacuum made it’s appearance.

All that construction noise can be stressful. I’m pretty sensitive to that kind of continuous racket so I sympathize with Sadie. But it’s important labor and in the end the road improvements are usually worth it.
