It’s back to school time once again and Sadie is looking too cool for school in her new purple sunglasses! While Sadie and other dogs may look cool at this time of year, remember that the back to school routine may be stressful for pets. Tomorrow is the 77th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz, which opened in movie theaters on August 25th, 1939. While I personally was a little scared of the movie as a child, my little Sadie is as brave as Dorothy, especially in her adorable costume.

Yesterday Sadie modeled her version of ancient Olympic style with her laurel wreath crown. Today Sadie is modeling a more modern Olympic look with a patriotic tiara and stars and stripes dress. I bet all the American athletes wish they look as stylish as Sadie!

Today is the official day of the year when you get to spoil your dog. If your house is like mine, then pretty much every day could be called Spoil Your Dog Day. But to make this official holiday special, I brought Sadie a special treat – her very own pupcake! I hope everyone gets the chance to spoil their pets with something extra special today!

Sadie and I are planning a family birthday party for this weekend. As you can see from the photos, Sadie is voting for a luau theme. I tried to tell Sadie that her Uncle probably won’t want to wear a grass skirt to his own birthday party, but Sadie won’t listen. She’s such a cute little hula girl that I think her costume will be a hit no matter what theme we choose for the party.
