Sadie and the Snow Penguin
Winter Bloopers
For this month’s Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-Up I’m sharing some winter related bloopers. It’s tough getting good photos in the snow. Sadie acts more distracted than usual when there is white stuff on the ground and I can’t exactly put the camera down to get Sadie into the right position. And don’t get me started on the cold and damp. I usually end up with more bloopers than good photos. But every time it snows I still want to go back out there to capture Sadie frolicking and having a good time.

Sepia Saturday – the Snowsuit
Sadie loves playing and sniffing around out in the snow. She does not, however, enjoy wearing her snowsuit. I remember hating when my Mom made me wear a snowsuit when I was a kid. But I understand wanting to make sure your child is safe and warm. During the first snowfall of the season I usually put Sadie in her snowsuit and bring her outside. I want her to enjoy the snow, but I also want to protect her from the clumps of snow that get stuck to her fur if her belly isn’t fully covered. Sadie sniffs around for a little while, but then sits down and starts giving me the sad puppy eyes. Inevitably I give in and take off her snowsuit, allowing her to run around and have fun without any hindrances. I love watching her have fun playing in the snow, but I do not enjoy the hour afterward I spend trying to get the cold, wet clumps out of her hair.

The Waiting Game – Car Seat Edition
Sadie is used to our typical routine of running errands every week. She sits in her car seat while my family members and I take turns going into the bank or the post office or the pharmacy, etc. Usually the person leaving the car is gone five or ten minutes and Sadie just sits patiently looking out the window during that time, watching for her missing person. But if someone is gone longer than expected, Sadie starts to get antsy. She stands up, looks out every window, whines, barks, and basically tries to find the missing family member without being able to leave the car. One day while impatiently waiting for Sadie’s Grammy to return to the car, I thought I would document Sadie’s range of emotions as she waits in her car seat.
