Sometimes it’s weird how much Sadie and I are alike. Take bananas for example. For some strange reason, when a banana starts getting a little brown, the taste and smell are suddenly disgusting to me. I happily eat bananas that are yellow, or even a little green, but once the brown spots start to appear, I won’t go near them. One day I tried feeding a piece of the banana I was eating to Sadie and she happily wolfed it down. The next day my Mother asked if it was ok to give Sadie a piece of banana and I said that’s fine because she enjoyed mine the day before. But Sadie took one sniff of that banana and turned away. When my Mom said Sadie wouldn’t eat it, I went to investigate and noticed the banana was getting brown. I couldn’t believe that Sadie has the same quirky opinion of bananas that I do. I tested my theory a few times, and sure enough Sadie enjoys the same yellow bananas that I do, but can’t stand them once they start turning brown. I guess the saying “like mother, like daughter” can apply to\u00a0the dog-mom relationship too.<\/div>\n
