As most of you know, Sadie is a very picky eater. I’m always on the lookout for low fat, nutritious treats for Sadie to try. I had heard before that most dogs enjoy bully sticks, but with Sadie’s pickiness and the generally high cost of those types of treats, I never wanted buy them with the chance that Sadie wouldn’t eat them. So when I was given the opportunity by Best For My Pets to review their bully sticks, I jumped at the chance. And I’m glad I did, because Sadie loves them! When I received my box from Amazon containing the bully sticks, Sadie was instantly interested in the contents of the package. She seemed to smell the dog treats right away, although I didn’t notice any particular odor. Apparently some brands of bully sticks can have a smell that is not very pleasant for human noses, but the Best For My Pets sticks have very little smell at all. When I opened the package and offered a stick to Sadie, she eagerly took one and got into her comfy chewing position. She thoroughly sniffed the bully stick before giving it a taste test.

Once Sadie started chewing on her bully stick, she was in doggy nirvana. Nothing in the world interested her while she held that stick. She was particularly focused on positioning the bully stick against her back teeth, so that she could fully satisfy her natural urge to chew. Sadie is considered a powerful chewer, meaning she loves to chew items so aggressively she regularly wears them down and breaks them. So it’s important for me to find safe and healthy outlets for her chewing instincts. These bully sticks kept her chewing for hours, without any dangerous pieces breaking off. It actually took quite a while before it even looked like Sadie had made a dent in her first stick.

This made me realize that these bully sticks would be perfect treats to bring to the office to keep Sadie happy and entertained while the boring humans work at the computers. I’m sure these would work equally well for dogs that need to be left home alone during the day and need a healthy distraction from boredom. With these bully sticks, dogs could chew happily and quietly, providing their own entertainment while keeping their teeth healthy at the same time.

While Sadie was engrossed in her chewing, I read over the packaging of these bully sticks. I love that they are all natural and made from free range cattle. They are also chemical free, low fat, and high in protein. All very important qualities for safe, healthy treats.

Sadie would definitely recommend these Best For My Pet Bully Sticks. You can conveniently buy them from Amazon for a competitive price and have them shipped right to your door.
