Thanks for liking us! Sadie and I really appreciate the love!
Today I’ve been baking some cupcakes for Mother’s Day tomorrow. Sadie has been watching me like a hawk, knowing I’m preparing some kind of food, but not understanding why I won’t give her raw cake batter to eat. She was sitting in her safe spot on the kitchen rug, and every time I looked down at her she gave me the sad puppy eyes. After a half hour of refusing to give her a single bite, Sadie finally got fed up and walked away. Once I got the cupcakes into the oven, I went in search of my dog. I found Sadie sitting on my bed chewing on her very own cupcake! What are the odds that she randomly digs through her toy bin and decides to take out the squeaky cupcake toy at the same exact time as I’m baking real cupcakes? When I walked over to her she gave me a look that clearly read “You wouldn’t give me any of yours, so I got my own cupcake and it’s very yummy. But maybe next time can I have one that isn’t rubber flavor?”
Hope all the human Moms and dog Moms have a wonderful, relaxing Mother’s Day tomorrow!
