For this week’s Tongue Out Tuesday photos, I’m sharing some pictures of Sadie “riding” on a scooter. I put riding in quotes here because this particular scooter is actually bolted to the ground. It’s meant as a cute photo prop for some family photos in front of the picturesque fountain. While this fake scooter was fun for our photos, Sadie won’t be riding any real scooters anytime soon. I am way too overprotective to let my fur baby ride away without wearing a helmet.

This week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme is travel and I must say it’s a very appropriate theme for me right now. I have three trips scheduled in the next two months and I’m basically trying to plan for all of them at the same time. My family and I are going on a cruise next weekend and exactly a month later I’m headed to Germany to visit friends. Unfortunately, Sadie is only able to come with me on the last trip, to the BlogPaws conference in Nashville in May. But Sadie did join me on a trip to Florida last December and I’d like to share a few photos from that vacation today. We had a few hours with nothing particular to do and were driving around the area outside of Tampa, when I decided to stop and have a walk around the town of Tarpon Springs. If you’ve never heard of Tarpon Springs, it’s a town that was built on the sponge diving industry and has a very strong Greek influence. It’s definitely a unique place, where all the gift shops are filled with the usual Florida tourist gifts like seashells and palm tree t-shirts, but also sell fresh sponges and Greek statues. We had fun walking around for a few hours and especially enjoyed our little photo session in the giant sponge diver helmet.

Since the Blog Paws conference is later this week in Lake Las Vegas and those lucky enough to be able to attend should be packing soon, I thought I’d share some packing related mischief.

I’m packing for a trip a few months ago and I walk away for two seconds. When I come back, I find that Sadie has hopped into my suitcase and taken my socks hostage. It’s like she’s saying to me “Ha! Now you can’t leave because I have your socks!” Too bad I was headed to Florida and didn’t need socks anyway.
