YourDesignerDogBlog: The Adventures of Sadie the Yorkipoo
Sadie is trying out a new hair color for the new year. I told her that red might be a little drastic and might not go well with her tail, but Sadie wanted to try something bright and bold. She really enjoyed her new look for a few hours, but got annoyed when her flowing red locks kept getting into her food. Sadie is glad she didn’t make any permanent changes and can just put her red wig back on when she’s in the mood for a change again.
This week’s #52Snapshots of Life theme is patriotic. Sadie and I have been fully embracing this theme all week, as you can see from our last few blog posts. We have really enjoyed decorating the house in red, white, and blue and preparing for tomorrow’s 4th of July festivities. While at the supermarket earlier in the week stocking up on grilling supplies, I noticed some little red, white, and blue pompoms on clearance. Sadie’s Grammy thought I was crazy for buying them, but I had a sudden inspiration for some cute photos I could take. Sadie’s patriotic “wig” turned out exactly how I’d imagined, although it was a lot harder to keep in place. But Sadie’s a good model and happily kept still so I could get some good photos of her and her patriotic “hair”.

Sadie has decided that the ribbons decorating one of last week’s birthday presents are much more entertaining than the new collar that was inside the package. After thoroughly sniffing the ribbons, pawing the ribbons, shaking the ribbons, and licking the ribbons, it seems that Sadie thinks her new ribbons work best as a wig.
