Have you ever noticed that puppies seem to fall asleep in the strangest positions? For this week’s Flashback Friday, I go back to one particular night, a week after I brought Sadie home, when I watched Sadie sleep with my camera poised. Every time she moved I needed a picture, because each position was cuter and more uncomfortable looking than the last. I think she changed positions over ten times during the course of that hour. But all that moving around never actually woke her up.

Even my annoying camera flashes did nothing to disturb her slumber. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Just the sound of my camera turning on instantly wakes Sadie now. Instead of adorable sleeping pup photos, I only get stink eye / annoyed that I woke her up pictures, which can be adorable in their own funny way. But there is nothing cuter and more peaceful than the sleep of the young.
