Sadie’s princess dog bowl was very appropriate yesterday when I served her royal highness some water in bed. And by bed of course I’m referring to my bed, because the princess has to have the best bed in the house.

Yesterday was flea and tick medication day for Sadie, which means she must wear her pajamas around the house so that she doesn’t wipe off the medicine all over the furniture. But Sadie hates wearing her pajamas, unless it’s a special occasion. As soon as I put the pjs on her, she freezes and will not move, which I assume is a form of protest to try and convince me to remove the offending outfit. I have to carry her to the bed so that she can have somewhere comfortable and out of the way to lie down while the medicine gets absorbed. I usually give Sadie a long lasting treat of some kind to keep her mind off the pjs and medicine and keep her occupied. She usually enjoys the treat when it is in one spot, but if it falls out of her reach Sadie reverts to her statue routine and pouts until I retrieve the treat for her or take her pajamas off. The long lasting treats always seem to make Sadie especially thirsty, which brings us to these photos. Since Sadie won’t move to get water no matter how thirsty she becomes, I have to bring the water to my little princess.
